I was given a 512 chip by kingston and another 512 chip with no name on it. The one with no name on it has a sticker with numbers on it though. How can i find out exactly what kind of ram they are? DDR, SD etc.

I have intel chipset p4(3.2ghz) 512ddr2ram(2nos) on two of the slots i have.. my question is I wanted to know whether i can add 1gb of ram on both my existing slots, meaning there would be a total of 2gb ddr2 of ram.. getting rid of the 512..
I have done a little research on vitesta and apacer vendors which claims to have speeds of 1066mhz respectively.. is it possible that the pins would be the same as my existing 512ram and also compatible with my chipset coz it says intel compatible.. opinions pls.. thnks..

No reason why you can't upgrade to 2GB.

As long as you get the same type of memory, IOW DDR, DDR2, etc, the pins will be the same. The speed and latency of the memory is the other part to worry about. Check that against your current RAM.
