Hey guys, I've got an S-Video cable running from my PS2 and it looks like on my laptop (DELL Inspiron)an S-Video out port. So basically i'm wanting to turn my laptop into a tv. How can I make this work?

You can't. The S-video is an output on the laptop, not an input.

In the theoretical world of complexity and good times, it might be possible to get a driver that will let you use the S-video as an input, but I'm fairly sure that would require some hardware modification as well, and most sane non-technical people won't be willing to open their laptop for such a feat.

Oh yeah, they sell PC slot card adapters that act as a video input for your laptop, try to grab one of those.
