Three cheers for your fine and concise review of our Eighth Nerve Response line of products. We feel that the Response line represents the best value in acoustics today and offers the best performance at any price. The improved soundstage, clarity, and pleasing harmonic balance you experienced in your listening room is attainable for such a modest price, yet acoustic treatments are still an afterthought for many audiophiles. In fact, the word is quickly spreading about the price to performance ratio of Framed Response products among schools, churches, and commercial businesses--all important clients that are benefiting from our technology and experience.

As far as the bass resonance in your room, Response products will be most effective in the mid and high frequency ranges when a smaller product configuration like the one you reviewed is used. In reviewing your room diagram, various wall openings and angles, as well as your speaker placement may result in some bass boominess that may require more product to attain balanced and palpable bass nirvana. Nevertheless, we are currently working a "bass trap" type of product that borrows heavily from Helmhotlz Resonance theory and employs a Port Tuning paradigm. Bass issues (nulls, nodes, and the like) will be handled in a more dynamic fashion than ever before!

Just as no room is too difficult to treat acoustically, there is no sound environment that can not be bettered with the help of Eighth Nerve products. The ability of Response Controllers to help a room faithfully recreate harmonic structure, dynamics and tonal balance of a music source sets us apart from most of our competition. While many products burn, dampen, and kill sound energy, Response controllers treat this energy in a fashion that complements, not deadens the musical signal, bringing the listener closer to the soul and essence of the music.
