As a new comer to the hifi world, I bought the entry level system recommended by AVguide: NAD C 542 CD player, NAC C 320BEE integrated amp, and PSB Image T45 speakers. What cables should I get to match with this system? Thanks a lot in advance!

14 gauge cooper wires should be fine. no need to go overboard with fancy cables. shouldnt cost you more than $50 for a spool.

HomeDepot's 14 gauge oxygen free wires are very good ones for speakers.

I also bought monster Optical/component box at $35 at Circuit city.

Look at the thread of SACD/DVDA 5.1 cables if you need that. Cheapest I could find.

For that setup I would recommend silver. Say like DH labs t-14 speaker wire. $4 a foot, but worth every penny. You take the Home depot cables and do an A/B test and you defintely will hear a difference.
