Best budget cable for my system

I've just recently upgraded my home audio (2-channel only) to a Cary CD-303 cdp run thru an Antique Sound Labs AQ1001 tube amp to JMLab Chorus 716S speakers. My collection is mostly redbook CDs.

My local dealer (John Zimmermann @ Audio Connection, Seattle) was kind enough to lend me some older, used interconnects and speaker cable, but I'm looking for something decent and better for no more than $200-300 max for interconnects and speaker cable total. Need 10 foot cable pair.

What/why would you all recommend for this price range, brands and models, for this system? Any particular features I should be looking for in interconnects, such as type of termination plug?

Thanks, Eric

Speaker wire - 16 or 14 awg, twisted two conductor .20-.35 cents a foot. Two ten foot runs = $4.00/$7.00

Interconnect - any well made, shielded, stereo RCA-RCA cable... $15.00 - $35.00

TOTAL; $42.00

If you don't want to build your own but are looking for good cabling at fair prices, there are lots of excellent choices. I've had good luck with the following:
http://www.outlawaudio.com/products/cables.html
http://www.heartlandcables.com/
http://www.elementcable.com/
http://signalcable.com/
...and so on.

Good luck!
