Red Tint with Monster Component Video 2 Cables

I just purchased a brand new Monster Video 2 Advanced Component Video AV Hookup kit and hooked up my progressive scan DVD player to my brand new Sony TV. I get video but it is tinted red. Audio is fine. When I connect the same DVD player to this TV using composite cables the video and audio are both perfect. Why am I getting the red tint with the component cables? I have double, triple and quadruple checked the connections to be sure they are tight and connected properly. I have reversed the direction of the cables. I've tried everything to fix the red tint. Is it possible these brand new cables are defective, or is there some setting I'm not aware of on either the DVD player or the TV?

Thanks for any help.

Nevermind...I figured it out. I had to set the DVD player to the component setting. Looks great now. Thanks.

Oh goodness, I had no idea I had to turn ON the progressive scan feature. I'm assuming that would be in the setup menu for the DVD player. I'll have to look at that when I get home. Thanks!
