I have reciever with two Component inputs but have three devices which I would like to run through the reciever. I was thinking I could run 3 RCA Y-splitters out of one of the inputs in the reciever and just always make sure that 1 of the two devices plugged into those splitters was turned off at all times to avoid problems with video switching.
I am thinking there will be some degree of video quality degradition but can't think of any other issues. Has any one ever tried this?

Looking to see if anyone knows if there is a y splitter for component. I have a comcast cable box and dvd that uses component cables but my Panasonic hdtv has only 1 input component..would it work anyway?
