slutho, there's a saying you may want to learn:
It is better to be thought a fool, than to open one's mouth, and remove all doubt.

Jon is right. the TA has been through about 8 generations now, so we really need to know the year you're considering.
Any of them should be able to handle two fifteens though.

hey i think u gotta go custom. i got a 96 formula that i was never able to fit anything bigger than 12's. i have seen 15's on a firebird but it was using the spare tire volume and was fiberglass. its really hard but im 100 percent sure u cant find a 'g -logic' that will fit that car.they do sell custom made 12's factory built boxes but they have low c.u volume. i just stood by the 12's and used a regular box . fit it by tilting it at 45 degrees and forcing it in there.--------------by the way----5.7 lt against 1.8-- u really gotta put a lot of money into that 1.8 to beat a stock 5.7,lol

LOL yea... I also save money when I go to trade my car in because its actually still worth sh*t after 100,000 miles (if the American cars didnt blow a gasket or something critical before then). The "luxury" version of a Chevy/Dodge/Ford is enough to make anyone laugh; it makes me feel like im gliding along in a toy RC Barbie car with all the plastic and ugly looking panels and upulstry around me. Don't get me wrong American classics are nice! But cars like the new GTO, Mustang, Chevy, Dodge, Ford, etc... can suck it; they are POS slow ugly cars. ooo the GTO 0 - 60 in 6 seconds!! :-O MAN that is soooooooooo fast, those cars can twang my a$$hole. If I see one more Civic or Dodge Neon with a race wing, a shitty sounding pipe, and a crappy body kit around here I'm going to shoot someone. Kids around here rev their engine and race around in their neons like they are tuff sh!t. lol

Here is a saying I would like you to learn as well GlassWolf:

"Lick my f*cking sack & f*ck yourself with the claw side of a hammer."

Like that one douche bag? How about you put on that nice fine leather jacket of yours, slip on those cool guy sun glasses, then come to my house and eat my @ss with a spoon.

There is nothing wrong with american cars. There is nothing wrong with Japanese or German cars. There is, however, something wrong with your brain slutho.

By the way... I have seen some Neons with a bit of zoom. Could it beat a 1200 HP Supra? No. Could it stay on the ground while that same Supra spirals out of control when it hits a bump? Yah.

That being said, all hail the almighty Z car!

A 1200HP Supra would take about 50psi of boost to accomplish, not counting camshafts, cylinder head modifications, exhaust, etc. etc., and it would come on at extremely high RPMs without any kind of torque down low, the cost of the parts needed to accomplish 1200HP out of that motor would be ridiculous. Not counting the powerband would look like an upside down V. Horsepower is way overrated, torque is the true force that moves the wheels, horsepower simply shows the amount of torque relative to the RPM it is running at. The best comparison you could possibly make is an average torque rating and drop horsepower altogether, then you could compare apples to apples. The 200 hp claims of some 4 cylinder manufacturers are similar to seeing the "1200 Watts!" on Sony and Legacy amps. That being said, I'm really not fond of anything put out by manufacturers today, I don't really care what country they came out of, most are just overrated crap in my opinion. Innovation has given way to regulation, stupid trends in styling (which are ugly) and marketing. People buy them with the same idea as they would buy a beater truck, just buy it, drive it until the wheels fall off, then sling it in a junkyard and buy another one. Very few newer cars have character to them anymore.

That is entirely what I was saying about car looks today. At a car show here they had a Supra like that, those cars are FAST though! 0 - 100 in 8.9 seconds or something like that. Neons make me laugh, their head gaskets go at around 30 - 40,000 miles LOL!

see here's the amusing thing. I own two American cars both built in 1966.
Both cost about $2600-300 US at the time they were made.
Now I could sell one easily for $25,000 and the other for $150,000. Can you do that, slutho?
Ah, didn't think so. Now talk to me about holding their values.
I can sell a scrap metal classic American car for more than a used Honda today thanks to the skyrocketing value of old scrap steel alone.

You're already proving my quote to a T.

By the way, any time you want to race your car against either of mine.. the 493 or the hemi, bring it on over and we'll race for slips.
Till then, keep dreaming about having a car with any sort of value and talking crap to make up for lacking a pair of balls. :-)

ta ta

Here's another one for ya. Ever seen the Quadra-deuce? It's a 32 Ford coupe with AWD that'll do 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, built by Rad-Rides. It's also completely street legal and drivable unlike your tubbed drag Supra. Yeah, I've seen the 1200HP supras. They don't turn corners too well. You also don't have one.

8.9 secs is fast, but it's nothing to have an org@sm over. The original 1966 AC Shelby Cobra had a 0-100 time of 8.3 secs, 0-100-0 was 13.8 seconds, 0-60 was 3.5 secs. The original Supra Turbos ran a 12.6 second 0-100 time and a 14.0 second 1/4 mile time, there are many American cars, including current American cars, that can outrun that, all of them aren't slow. Once you talk about modified cars, the main limitation is money, but it takes a ton of money to make an import go fast because of it's sheer lack of displacement, and torque curve and horsepower will be lower than an equivalently equipped motor that is larger. They also usually aren't as practical after a certain point, notice that you don't see many people putting 30-50 lbs of boost on a V8 trying to make power because it's not always needed. 30-50lbs of boost basically turns a car into a detonating time bomb prone to failure, and most of us would rather run on 93 octane or lower. There is also the misconception that imports are a lot lighter than older american cars, but older 60s musclecars weren't the thick steel behemoths they're made out to be, many were unibody which saved tons of weight. The 65 Mustang I had weighed about 100 lbs less than the 2005 Honda Civic(65 Mustang hardtop was 2556 lbs, 2005 Honda Civic coupe weighs 2657), not to mention the car had a cast iron V-8 laying between the shock towers opposed to an anemic 1.7L aluminum 4 cylinder. The 1996 Toyota Supra Turbo weighed 3,515 lbs, it wasn't the lightest car on the road.

I can kind of see where slutho has a point about American cars. Every ford/Chevy ive owned has had some real bad problem way before 100,000. Then the value when I went to trade them in was nill lol. My wife has a 2004 Cavalier and she went to trade it in because she disliked the interior/size of the car and the car's blue book was $7,000!!!! in less then a year!!! lol. I recently got my Toyota Camry with over 400,000 on it appraised and blue book was $3,500 not to bad at all. Then again for some odd reason the Toyota make holds their value very well. I'm going to miss my car when it's gone, lots of memories in over 400,000. That car NEVER gives me a dime of trouble and starts up and purrs like normal every morning, knock on wood hehe...

I wish mine would have made half of 400,000, my 93 Camry was shot after 150k :-). Valvetrain clicked, transmission slipped, car smoked, lost a lot of power over the years. It was the 3.0L V6, yours may be a 4 cyl. I think Japanese cars just plain out hate me because my g/f hasn't had a single Honda make it past 125k without either an extreme transmission or engine problem. I've had more luck out of V8 powered American cars. Depends on which American cars you're talking about, too, a Cavalier, Escort, Neon, etc. is a horrible representative of an American car. You couldn't pay me to have any of them. My 83 Chevy C-10 truck had over 300,000 miles on it before I rebuilt it, it still ran great, I just wanted the security of a fresh motor, plus I wanted more power.

Ive owned many many many Toyotas, a few fords, 2 dodge trucks, and a Chevy. My fords use to blow spark plugs, they would leak oil in spots I couldn't find lol, transmission went TWICE and had to be serviced (over 100K)! Then there was also all the small little problems that just added to it all. Then my Chevy's head gaskets would go, the alternator would die and cost me a new battery, the clutch always sucked, random lights come on in the dash when they feel like it, and I just hate the way it looks. My dodge oooo that was such a great truck let me tell you, my Ram 1500 lol. What a POS that thing was. Well with my Ram fuel pump went at 60,000, parts would fall off it on the highway as I was driving, the steering stabilizer would ALWAYS lock up when I even hinted of driving off road, and I cant drive over 75 on the highway with the AC on or it would over heat... lol The only thing a Toyota has ever given me sh!t with was a radiator on one occasion from core rot (d@mn northeastern salt trucks -_-) and water pumps. Then aside from normal maintenance it's been smooth sailing. I guess certain cars hate us, I don't know.

I already answered him.
He never told us what year the T/A is, but any of them could fit fifteens with custom work.
twelves work much better though.

hey if ya want fun, Gail Banks makes a GM 350 small block twin turbo that puts out 1200HP on pump gas. You can buy it as a crate motor.
