I was listening to my iPod one day on my computer (I connected it to the comp and listened on Itunes) and when i was done with the computer i took the iPod out and all of my songs were gone, even my pics.
I put it back in the computer and it showed that my iPod was completely empty, but it had just as much taken up as when my songs were on it (265MB)

So i thought it was just something i did, and tried to put my songs back on from the library, but when i did that, i took the iPod out and it was still empty. I put the iPod back in the computer and the Itunes menu showed my iPod being empty, but now it had even more MB's taken up.

It also gives my a little message at the bottom right of my screen that says \iPod_control\iTunes\iTunesDB is corrupted. can anyone help?

Seems like a memory error. You need to format the player. See this for further reference:

Good Luck

a guy told me when i was ejecting it from the computer i needed to eject it from real player first because it was getting confused.
but whatever. dont think that helped.
