A wasp will not die when/if it stings someone because it has a smooth sting and can repeatedly sting the same person, bees die when they sting someone because the have hooked stings and when they pull away from someone the pull their guts out too. The exception is the queen, who rarely leaves the nest to sting anybody..
You would think that just once, in the history of time, that a bee would stagger back to his hive, and with his last dying breath, say: "Look at what happens when you sting someone guys, it rips your ass off and you die, so spread the word... don't use your stinger".
I am 100% serious -- it baffles the mind why this hasn't happened.
i watched "bee movie" (courtesy of brad warren. he put it on my hard drive). anyways one of the bee stung an attorney so they got a plastic tooth pick to replace it. so i don't think bees die when they sting.
Speaking as an ex roofer I can personally say the wasp is my most hated enemy. 30 feet up in the air on a ladder is the worst possible place to piss off a wasp. They can sting on contact and keep doing so. Hell they're like kamikazes on a mission only they fly away after the attack!
Queen bee will kick King bee's azz...cause he's a dead MF after the first shot, and she keeps on ticking and prancing around, stinging anytime she wants...just like real life and real women and wives...lol
