Anyone know where I can get one of the older ones, used, refurb, doesn't matter. I just need one bone stock, with just an OS, I'll be using it for Const. Mgmt., strictly CAD and SketchUp and such...maybe Photoshop for my girl

anyone help or info would help.

Have you tried Tigerdirect.com? They sell refurb IBM thinkpads.
Also, you might want to contact a leasing company. They have tons that are off leases at rock bottom prices.

You can get them on ebay for about $250 I believe. I have a T20 that the screen went out on. The last time I used it, which was about 2 months ago, I had it connected to my PC monitor and thats how I knew that he computer still worked. But now it freezes everytime it boots up:-(

yeah but those thinkpads are built like tanks, from what I hear, and are great business notebooks. Thanks for the link Isaac, I'll check it out, and also ebay. When you say lease, do you mean I would be able to buy one that was originally leased or I would have to lease one?

When it's off of lease, it costs next to nothing. That's why you see them on eBay starting off at $1. Those guys probably didn't pay any more than $50 each.
If you want to make money, then get friendly with companies that own leased equipments. At the end, they'll go for $20 - $50 each. And if you buy the whole lot, even cheaper.
