No offense to the 10,000+ posters but Mat is incredibly knowledgable and has gone out of his way to answer even the most newbish questions i've had. I laughed a lot, and it was a comedy, so mission accomplished. However I just found it to be un-original and downright predictable at times... i.e. ya know look at the foreign guy interact with urban black men..."how can i dress like you" ; "how can i talk like you". Get it? it's sooo funny cause he's white and nerdy! (not) i.e. the scene where he's in the like southern antique shop and he starts knocking things over SEEMINGLY by accident, shattering glass and breaking 100's of dollars of stuff. I remember seeing virtually the same concept in a jacka$s skit years ago, and even then it probly wasn't too original. good funny movie, just wouldn't be on my all time favorites list or anything. |
