OH MY GOD JORDAN SHES BEAAAAUUUTTTTIIIFFFUUULLL!!!!

You're not gonna fight her or nothin right?:-( Please tell me you're gonna raise her right :-) Make sure you socialize her AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE with dogs and people while she's young. Obedience classes are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Trust me the last thing you want is for her to be aggressive around new people or dogs when she reaches maturity; annoying and unsafe for both owner AND dog.

My brother-in-law has a pit...her name is Pearl, she is snow white. Great dogs...as long as you treat them right.

I dont get why people think pits are evil or some sh1t. You can make any dog mean...dam, I have seen Labs that would rip your throat out.

Pearl is a great dog...a guardian...but fun loving. She is supposed to have a liter in a few weeks...If I had a place to keep a dog, I would get one. (I have a Lab/Golden Retriever mix and a Red Healer at home)

Here is my mutt...Rocko (he is 12yrs old)

as long as you're willing to invest the necessary time to train and socialize em' chad, then i'd say go for it. A pit bull is one of the most intelligent, loyal breeds you could choose.

Don't listen to chauncey, leave car audio to him, and pit bulls to me :-) Females or Males are both great...female will be a lil more mellow and even tempered, less likely to be agressive towards other dogs n' what not.

I agree that pits get a bad rap simply because some azzholes choose to train them to be mean. Pits are actually very friendly and loyal animals.

Maybe some of yours will grow up to be like this guy:

This is Amy and Bogart playing in the snow a month or two ago...No i'm not a fan of dressing dogs up LOL but at the time it was like dangerously cold for them to be outside for an extended period.

Amy is the brown one (in the pink sweater that i did NOT pick out) she is a 3 year old 1/2 pit bull, 1/2 mystery (her pure pit dad hopped the fence and banged a shepard-lab mixish dog).

The Black one is Bogart, he has white on his nose, chin, chest and paws, most of which is covered by the hoody (which i DID pick out:-)). He is a 2 year old 3/4 pit bull, 1/8 american bulldog, 1/8 rottweiler.

what should i feed her. shes 8weeks old. right now ive got a small supply of some really good stuff i got from my friends mom(shes a vet), but itll run me almost 100 a bag, so im lookn for somethin a lil cheaper for her. What do u guys recommend, dog isn't going to be trained to attack, but protective and undercontrol. However, she is mainly for breeding purposes.

great question Jordan. We're feeding our dogs Solid Gold dog food. What you feed your dog is not quite as important as what you DONT FEED your dog. Unfortunately the mass market brands prey on unknowledgable dog owners who just don't realize the crap they're feeding their dogs.

Just look at the ingredients list. You want to STAY AWAY from foods that have things like corn, corn meal, by products, meat by products, animal fats...

The first ingredient on the list should be a solid protein source (NOT BY PRODUCT). Chicken, lamb, pork, beef and steak are all good.

The following are brands i've heard good things about:
Innova
California Natural
Royal Canin
Natures Gift
Merricks
Solid Gold
Canidae

Some of these might be a lil pricey, whereas some are about the same price as the crap mainstream brands like iams, eukanuba (vastly over-rated), purina and pedigree. But keep in mind how important it is to feed your dog good food. Not only will poor food quality make them unhealthy but is PROVEN to cause severe behavioral problems which is especially dangerous with a pit bull.

i was recommended purina one puppy chow by the local vet person. I also got sum high energy mix to go in with it from them(it runs about 95 a bag), its supposed to help the puppy's out a lot. I didn't actually buy the mix tho, just borrowing off their supply lol. get on AIM man i need to talk to ya.
