Posted on Thursday, September 09, 2004 - 12:12 GMT Okay I've got this 4.1 speakers. My problem is my AC97(CMI9739/A) on board souncard won't reconigzed it. The soundcards requires 2 wires(one rear and the other front). Problem is all the speakers connect to the subwoofer and only one wire is present(green colour).
So when I do the sound test, I'm getting left front sound coming from both front and rear speakers, right front sound coming from both front and rear speakers and rear right/left sound coming from the subwoofer. Has this something to do with the fact that my subwoofer has built in amplifier?!
Quick question, do ALL sound cards require more than 1 wire to operate in 4/4.1/5.1/6.1/7.1 mode?! Does the Sound Blaster 4.1 Digital require more than 1 wire?
