Ok i have a scientific atlanta epc2100r2 modem, i am trying to connect it to my computer via the usb cable. my operating system is windows xp. Now i can connect modem to my computer via the network cable and it works just fine and i can connect to internet. But the problem is when i tried to conect it via the usb cable to my modem it just wont work. I do have a driver instalation CD of the modem and i did instaled some kind of drivers ( Scientific-Atlanta WebStar 2000 serries cable modem ) the name of drivers, but nevertheles my computer still cant connect vith the modem, and my flashing PC light on the modem is turned off . Funny thing is when i plug in the usb cable for the first time to comp the flashing PC light on the modem blinks several times noticing it is conected to comp but it just shuts later.
