Is it just me, or is everyone else seeing the incredible price drop in external hard drives??? Just one year ago I bought a 200 gig external drive to store my movies and music on for about $300. (I love it). At the time, a good deal. Today, I can pick up a 250 gig drive for $100. Is there a difference in quality between an expensive drive and a budjet one, or is memory just memory? J/W

Memory is just memory, but you have to look at the components being used to store that memory. The company's reputation also plays a part. There are plenty of reviews out there.

Can't wait until the Terabytes come out.

^^Agreed. Memory is like crack. So d@mn attictive! I thought 200 gigs would satisfy me for years. After one year, I'm @ half capacity! I saw a 2 terabyte drive going for $1800 on Dell's site. Ouch!

I remember that movie about Bill Gates during the time he was just building Microsoft, when they said:

"Who is going to need more than 64 Kilobytes?"
