Posted on Saturday, March 12, 2005 - 01:36 GMT i just bought a used yamaha 5280 on e bay with no remote.i thought i could access all function on the face of unit.wrong!!!!! the only functions i need are test,level,setmenu.yamaha is asking $80.00 they say the rav 212 is the only remote that will work.i dont know if i should believe them or not.has anyone used other remotes on this receiver?i dont want to buy one on ebay unless i know it will work. thanks |

Posted on Sunday, September 04, 2005 - 23:38 GMT Get a One For All remote, one that's telephone upgradable. If it won't do everything you need it to do, it can be upgraded over the phone. If it still doesn't do what you need and it's a learning remote, take it to an electronics store and borrow theirs to teach it what you need. I've had to do it that way in the past. |
