Exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage of Steve Ballmer’s Windows 1.0 commercial. We have the never before seen director’s footage from 1985, which shows just how the infomercial was made. We’re sorry the video is a little graining, but that was the best we could do restoring it from the archives.
At the time, who would have guessed Mr. Ballmer would become the 22nd richest man in the world, currently worth $21.3 Billion!
As for the Director, things did not turn out so well. This was his first and last commercial for Microsoft. You might say, Steve Ballmer ruined his career. Last we heard he was working as the late-shift manager at a Carl’s Jr. fast food chain in Los Angeles.
Yes, that is Steve Ballmer (not an actor) going crazy. Microsoft actually aired this infomercial on TV in 1985. I think you will find the Director’s edition even funnier!

Apple has never done anything as patently idiotic as this performance. I cringed the first time I saw it, and it didn’t get any better with passing time.
People who think this is normal behavior need to sit down and think about themselves.
The idiotic bullying psychopath presented in the video actually managed to stall the development of the entire IT industry by at least a decade and get obscenely rich in the process.
