Best Smartphones Right Now (January 2015)

If you’re looking to buy a smartphone, our new Best Right Now video series picks the best-in-class products at three different price points, so you don’t have to waste your time trying to figure out what’s the best.

Essentially, we are awarding three number 1’s, because who wants to buy #4, let alone #10, right?

Our Best Budget product is about finding the lowest priced item that works good, as long as you’re willing to sacrifice some features and performance.

Best Value winners give you the best performance to cost ratio. You can think of these product winners as the best overall, which provide the best combination of price, features, usability, and performance.

Finally, the Best at Any Price is the ultimate splurge product, where money is no object, and you may need to win the lottery to buy it. It factors in design and ultimate performance above all else.

At this point you probably just want to know who won. Well watch the video and let us know what you think. It is under 2 minutes, and don’t miss Lea’s bonus footage about what she does on her cell phone.

So very iPhone centric. And there are lots of really good phones out there for $99 with contract, so saying the $179 phone is the budget phone is just BS. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is so much better than the iPhone 6+, it isn’t even a comparison. Yes, I have a Note 4, but my son has an iPhone 6+. He is now saying he wishes he had gone with the Note 4, and believe me when I say that he is normally an Apple fanatic.

Total cost over the term of your contract is the only way to conside cost. 179 with what contract? As for the diamond thing, how irrelevant can you get. Unless the dat is April 1st
