Pro-Ject MaiA DS3 and Stereo Box S3 BT Integrated Amplifier and Receiver Unveiled

Pro-Ject are expanding their range of electronics with the new MaiA DS3 and Stereo Box S3 BT Integrated Amplifier and Receiver.

Pro-Ject MaiA DS3 and CD Box DS3 Lifestyle

Pro-Ject have had a very busy 2022 with an expanded range of turntables, phono cartridges, loudspeakers, and electronics. The Debut PRO and X2 B turntables have secured some serious bragging rights offering superb vinyl playback in the $1,000 to $2,000 price range.

On the amplifier side of the ledger, Pro-Ject have been very aggressive introducing new models that support digital streaming including hi-resolution PCM and DSD playback, whilst still offering dedicated CD players and streamers that can be integrated into any type of system.

Another advantage for Pro-Ject is their ability to manufacture almost everything in-house, which allows them to minimize already high shipping costs, and keep production costs lower. Their ability to manufacture very high quality components in rather large quantities is unmatched in the high-end audio category.

Fine Sounds Americas and Pro-Ject USA are proud to announce the
new Pro-Ject MaiA DS3 and Stereo Box S3 BT integrated amplifier and receiver models that are available now.

The MaiA DS3 Stereo Integrated Amplifier is a compact, high-fidelity amplifier and receiver for up to (9) analog and digital audio sources.

MaiA DS3 Stereo Integrated Amplifier Rear

Boasting 150 watts of power per channel into 4 ohms, this dual-mono design features a built-in phono stage (MM/MC), DAC, headphone amp, Bluetooth receiver and a wide range of digital and analog for various uses.

The internal DAC supports up to 32-bit/192kHz PCM and DSD256.

The internal phono stage supports both MM/MC carts which is not something you see on every integrated amplifier in 2022; the MM stage offers 40dB of gain (47k ohms) and you get 60dB of gain (100 ohms) with the MC stage.

Bluetooth codec support includes BT 5.0, aptX, aptX HD, and A2DP.

Available in a black or silver aluminum chassis, the design is sleek and rugged. Optional magnetic wooden side panels are available separately in walnut, rosenut and eucalyptus.

Such confusion with model letters and numbers and of course price points. I have an old transport and DAC with useless remote! I do believe Pro Ject makes pretty good equipment but this confusion with the model numbers is a complete turn off. I’d look elsewhere where I don’t have to go back end forth trying to figure out if equipment is an integrated, a DAC or a Transport! Very poor marketing for such a fine hi-fi manufacturer!
