Below is a post from my brother from another mother from another site.
What do you think?
This delay is all part of Nfusion's master plan.
When B3V went N3 Nfusion was virtually the only stb that solved the problem quickly and came back with a solution. Impressive and definitely spiked their market share. Also drew a lot more attention and pissed off a lot of people.
Then DN switched to N3, and that knocked a lot of the big boys completely out of the game. Nfusion was now the only major player in town and that meant a lot of focussed unwelcome attention from NagraStar.
Other manufacturers started to move to IKS because a true hack of N3 seemed a long way off and IKS was the only large mass marketable solution available, but these players were still small and Nfusion was huge.
Then came the ECM and this gave Nfusion the perfect opportunity (whether they knew it or not) to pull the plug, regroup, and let the other smaller players battle it out, grow their base, sell their products, make some $ and perfect their technology.
Now look at all the IKS stb's that have come on board in a relatively short period of time. They have grown their market share, have lots of advertising (chatter on websites), and now who is Nagrastar focusing their attention on?
Answer this question, if Nfusion came back right away and had some reasonable success, would there has been this considerable shift and growth in the other IKS options?
Probably not.
Master plan or just plain luck, nobody knows for sure, but when Nfusion comes back, and they will, the bullseye has shrunk and Nagrastar has many more targets and is going to have to use a lot more resources ($) to continue the battle against many more established players.
Nfusion, they're not dummies (no offense to the other site).
Interesting approach to business, shrink your market share. Did he go to Harvard Business school? Let others earn money so that they can advertise, grow and consolidate. This explains what V***s** is doing. This solution to N3 he spoke of that NF had first was IKS. Yeah NOBODY thought of that before.
Sorry but that post was classic rationilization without thought.
