How do you mark-off Chapters with thumbnails on the DVD-R disc? I have no problem marking the Chapters on the HDD and when I go to the sub-menu on the HDD it shows the thumbnails. But, after transferring from the HDD to the DVD-R disc the thumbnails disappear.
RFC (read fu*ing manual) - chapter signs (and other features) are not transfered into DVD unless you are using HiSpeed mode. Any other type of transfer mode is not data copying (as in PC world) but NEW RECORDING of video+audio signal in the way as you can see it as pictures on TV. This is probably made by Panasonic as an obstacle to misuse its DVD-recs to produce "illegal" copy of movies etc. There are several other obstacles like decreased quality of an recorded program when you set E85 into a recording mode which allows you transfer programs on DVD-R disc via HiSpeed mode. Use DVD-RAM and problems disappear. Personally I hope that DVD-RAM is future winner (it has the potential to achieve a position of VHS cassettes).
