Well, I installed my Memphis 1500 last week powering 1 L7 12" Dvc2, Wired up sub to 4 ohms, amp pushes 750 at 4, Sounds ok right? Well I get in today start driving and i notice the subs not hitting. I pull over check wiring, amp, ground, Everything fine. I turn it up a little more and the sub does some crazy excursion dance for a second and then start playing, but it sounds very weak. I adjust the gain a little, Was on 3/4, and it still sounds like crap. So I leave it alone for a while, and it starts hitting again, but the VC is real hot, and I can smell it cooking. so any ideas? ( I had it on a kenwood X811D running at 1 ohm, and it seemed to hit harder, and run cooler.) I think the sub is on its way out again.
