it means your amp is overheating..... you need to turn your Bass boost all the way down.. and match your gain settings to your Amps gain settings......

your "bass controls" being all the way up is destroying your subs... and you r amp

depending on the kenwood amp, you probably have the ohm load to low, with those subs, you can either run 1 0r 4 ohm stereo, or 1/2 or 2 ohm or 8 ohm bridged(or mono if monblock amp).

just wire the subs like this:

http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp?WoofQty=2+woofers&WoofImp =Dual+Voice+Coil+-+2+ohms+x+2

Wiring option 2.

Then make sure to match your gain on your amp to your cd player. The gain on the amp is not a volume knob, if thats what you were using it for. And put the bass boost on around 9 dB, not 18dB.

that is a 2 volt cd player. so set your amp to 2 volts.

if the gain only says min, and max, you will have to figure out where 2V would be on the knob.
