universal (circular lnb 118.7 )
LNB 10600 or 10750
LNB LOW 9750
port # as your setup

do blind scan

if you miss any channels then check tp frequency

add those missing tp

Is any body knows how to get 118.7 or 119
I have a low frequency dual output circular LNB (attached below) that I purchased from http://elitesat.ca/ for $34.
Every time I try to point to 118 or 119 I end up pointing to 110W with signal quality of only 26 but no luck with 118.7 or 119
I don't know what is wrong?
I have 33" dish and Captive Works 600s P receiver

I tried with the following Antenna Settings:
for 119w :
Transponder = 1224/V/2000/5/6
LNB Freq = 11250
LNB type = Normal
22KHz = Auto
Diseqc Number= LNB3 (i am using a switch on #3)
Legacy SW = Off
Motorised System = None

For 118.7W :
Transponder = 11728/H/2000/7/8
LNB Freq = 9750/10750 or 10750
LNB type = Normal
22KHz = Auto
Diseqc Number= LNB3 (i am using a switch on #3)
Legacy SW = Off
Motorised System = None

Is any body know what I should change here in this settings or maybe this LNB is faulty (they claim that you can get both 118 and 119 with this LNB)

Features
* Polarization: Circular
* Input Frequency: 11.70 - 12.75 GHz
* LO Frequency: 10.75 GHz
* Noise: 0.5 dB
* Dual output}

For 118.7W :
LNB Freq = 10750 (10600)

LNB Freq low = 9750
LNB type = universal
22KHz = Auto
Diseqc Number= LNB3 (i am using a switch on #3)
Legacy SW = Off
Motorised System = None

Your LNB is Fine

For 118.75 yo need
Freq=11715
Pol=V
S/R= 20,000
FEC=7/8 or auto

LNB type=Standard= 9750 to 10750 i.e.
LNB Freq L= 9750
LNB Freq H=10750
DISEqC switch= just be 100% sure correct port
I would try first straight from LNB to Receiver

Yo must do Blind scan
118 and 119 same pointing same LNB
Just different settings blind scan should update correct settings

Remember 118 and 119 are same pointing 1-LNB

Small dish won't get 118
Yo need Universal LNB with 30"
If yo blind scan with above settings and still no luck

Then yo need to point to 119

One tip to point to 118 by placing reg circular to get 119 then remove LNB and place with universal LNB followed by blind scan

When yo get blinking signal it means
Wrong settings or wrong LNB pointed satellie

Hi Tapeman:
Now I am getting 110 with 88% signal quality, after I replaced the 118.7 LNB with a regular circular LNB to get 119, but still not able to point to 119
Is it that hard to get 119, I tried almost all directions to point to 119 and tried to twist the LNB but still NO LUCK with 119
Is it not the same LNB type for 119 as 110, I am getting 110 very easy (even with the small dish 18") but NOT 119
ANY TIPS OR SUGGESTIONS, HOW TO POINT TO 119 OR 118.7 *** need some help, please***

THANKS,

There are many tips and techniques to get 110/118/119 on one dish 2 LNBs
Depending on what DISH, LNBs, BRACKET etc.
The tips I'll provide can work for most cases

Requirements:
- 30" dish
- Bracket to 2 hold LNBs plus 2 LNBs
- 1-reg Circular plus one Universal Circular or Invacom LNB
- Extra Circular LNB for test
- One coaxial coupler
- 1 DISEqC switch
- Good crimps and coaxial cables
- Sat finder and compas can be greatly helpful

Procedure:
- Start with 2 basic circular LNBs aiming for 110/119
- Proper aiming and skew techiques is a must
i.e. use http://satcalculator.freehostia.com/
2 Sats with no skew won't get yo 2 Sats
get each individual sat 1-at a time with a coupler instead of DISEqC at first

- Do the usual settings for 110/119 remember no DISEqC yet
- If yo have succefully got both 110/119 continue to next step otherwise back to proper aiming and skew

- It is time now to replace 119LNB with your new Circular LNB
- 110 and 119 should still be there

118 settings
Freq=11715
Pol=V
S/R= 20,000
LNB type=Standard= 9750 to 10750

- Do blind scan
- If blind scan gets yo doubles yo may have to enter each tp one at a time and do regular scan
FEC=7/8 or auto

It is now time to place DISEqC switch
Make sure yo turn off receiver everytime yo change coax cables and or LNBs

Remember 118/119 on one LNB (Universal) scanned together or individually
110 on a seperate circular LNB
Total of 2 DISEqC ports not 3

Final settings should be something like this

For 118.7W :
Transponder = 11715/V/2000/7/8
LNB Freq = 9750/10750 or 10750
LNB type = Universal
22KHz = OFF
Diseqc= 1
Legacy SW = Off
Motorised System = None

for 119w :
Transponder = 12224/V/2000/5/6
LNB Freq = 11250
LNB type = Normal or Universal
22KHz = OFF
Diseqc=1
Legacy SW = Off
Motorised System = None

for 110w :
Transponder = 12224/V/2000/5/6
LNB Freq = 11250
LNB type = Normal or Universal
22KHz = OFF
Diseqc=2
Legacy SW = Off
Motorised System = None

I did not proof read this if there is errors I'll correct it later
BUT IT SHOULD WORK TO MOST USERS ON MOST RECEIVERS

It is neither left nor right
Your problem is most likely a skew
2 Sats you must turn dish

Looking at the back of the dish yo turn clock wise if yo live on the east cost

If yo live on the west cost
looking from the back of dish yo turn counterclockwise

How much to turn
Yo must enter multiple sats and select your zip code on this site http://satcalculator.freehostia.com/

If yo have trouble understand my procedure
List all your hardware
Receiver type
Number of LNBs
Dish
DISEqC etc.
List everything
When I say list don't give me paragraph
list...
