The nearest electrical wholesaler can provide a 5kva Westinghouse transformer, 230v to 12v. The rectifiers could be 5 channel, or 2 mounted on an old heat sink. I like the westinghouse 1400w rectifiers, more ceramic(and more heat). Add a Boris Karloff/Jurassic park style 3 pump preloaded knife switch, and you could have the industrial look with great power. I wired this up for a buddy. |

Why the hell would anyone want to use car audio equipment in their house? Do people not realize that it makes no sense? Then again, if Rockford Fosgate is your audio "reference" it makes sense. Here's a subtle hint - Home audio gear sounds horrible in your car. Car audio gear sounds even worse in your home. Save a few bucks and a few headaches and get some home audio gear for your house. |
