I have a brand new computer i just built and i am using a separate hard drive with the other one unplugged completly installing MAC OS X 10.4.8 and when i get done installing it restarts to the apple logo and then tells me to restart my computer. It keeps doing this even after a reinstall. Whats the problem? I realize its a kernel panic but how do i get it to work? My system is:
Intel Core 2 Duo OC 3.3ghz 2GB Mushkin RAM EVGA Nvidea 680i SLI MOBO and so on...
Mac OSX, (Or any MAC Operating system for that matter) is not compatible with PC-based systems. Your best bet is to install an alternative OS, Such as Windows or Linux
Agreed, I'd run Kubuntu Linux... Its very easy and use KDE. You dont have to use the terminal for most day to day use. If you want something more similar to windows try Xandros. You can also give Novel Suse a try but I would wait till 10.3 comes out in October.
MAC OS runs on proprietary hardware unlike windows which works on most computer hardware, this is why the mac os is more stable and less bloated and is not a ram hog.
