My last PC had Windows Vista. Just after I bought it, I heard people complaining about Vista saying it was no good, etc. In 2 yrs, I never had a problem. My current computer has Windows 7. I've heard nothing but complaints about it. I had 1 problem with it. The particular version of internet explorer for 7 is crap. I downloaded Mozilla Firefox. Problem solved.

My current browser is Chrome, but I still visit sites using FF. Only on occasion do I use the ancient browser IE. The browser is a dead technology, destined for deletion. Opera has little appeal to me.

All of which is subject to opinion and use.

I think there is no problem with your OS. Problem is with your browser. You just uninstall your IE and again reinstall it . Hope your problem will be solved now. If it happen again then just download a new version and install it..
