To anyone and everyone,
I have a 120 GB external hard drive by acomdata. It was working perfectly fine yesterday morning. When I left the house I accidently left it on (but unplugged from the computer). When I can home I went to go plug it into my computer, so I could work on some graphic design work. It wasn't registering with the computer. I was very confused, so I unplugged it and tried it again, nothing. I thought maybe it was the plugs, so I switched the USB chords, still nothing. Upon close examination I heard a clicking coming from inside the hard drive casing. After the clicking stops the LED light on front (which lets me know if it is being read) starts blinking.( The warranty is expired, but I may send it in to get fixed, cause I need the stuff on it)...Is there a possibillity that is just overheated, and if so, anyway I can retrieve the work on it.
Thanks,
Keith VLK
ps- ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
