Help with Software for Video Camera

Its an old camera with tape. Can someone please suggest which software to use to download videos to my PC. I lost the software I received with the camera. I have Windows7. Can i use Windows Media Centre? I am not sure how to do it. Can someone please help. Thanks a lot...

If you have a Firewire port on your PC, you can use Windows Movie Maker (part of Windows) to download videos to your PC.
