HI,

Iv just been given my parents old vid cam (sony HC dcr-pc106e) and iv installed the drivers and software that comes with it but when i try to capture the vid stream with sonys Video capturing tool if I select the audio source as USB audio Device it messes up the vid stream (goes green and torn) but if i select my sound card as the audio input i dont get any audio from the cam stream but the vid is fine !! ?

So i can either choose to capture the video OR the audio but not both

Works on my parents comp fine.

Any suggestions out there ?

Cheers all,
JackDinn.

Found out that the problem was with one of my usb hubs, iv moved the connection to another usb port (on a different hub) and its working.

However, now i cant get the "TIME & DATE STAMP" to transfer with the stream ! iv read up on this and turns out you can't "full stop" , what a load of tosh Sony ! no wonder my parents bought another camcorder and gave this one away.
