Hi

I have a problem and wonder if anyone can help. I have a samsung vp-d101 camcorder with a firewire and s video out.

However, my laptop doesn't have a firewire port OR a space for me to insert a firewire card.

I do have an HDMI and 4 x USB ports - as well as a VGA (?) input. It also has a 5 in 1 digital media reader.

I'm not particualry tech savvy - so would really appreciate some help - whether I can get an adapter / cable or any other way to do it. And I can't afford to buy another camcorder / laptop!

THANK YOU in advance

Hmmm...If the Firewire to USB didn't work hard to say since your video cam only allows Firewire. Was the PC running XP at all or Vista? Another question I have is does your Video cam use SD cards because if it does and your laptop has a SD card port, then purchase a 8GB or 16GB SD card and store them that way. You mentioned you had downloaded the drivers/software for the camera, but odds are you have to find a computer running XP with a Firewire port on it.
