Monster - Acoustic Research - Radio Shack Cables - is there a significant difference?

I'm soon purchasing an Onkyo HT package and wondering if monster cable is worth the $$$. Of course monster cable is sold at almost half the retail price on eBay, but let's say money isn't a factor - is it worth getting over the cheaper Acoustic Research or Radio Shack cable/wire? Will the average home owner notice a difference? What do you think? Thanks

You want the shortest lengths of the largest cable made of oxygen-free copper you can afford, probably at least 12 guage. The Monster cable is probably better. Don't get ripped off by the technobabble perpretrated by manufacturers and dealers trying to rip you off.
