System control cable for vintage Kenwood receiver?

I got vintage Kenwood receiver KR-V6010 and
cassette deck KX-W6010.
They should work but I do not know how to switch
power on. There is no a power button on the rceiver. It looks like they should work together
as a whole system. I found a green jack for system control cable (2 green openings smaller than regular RCA connectors) on the back of the receiver and the deck which I guess is required
to power up the receiver.
Do you have any experience with this problem?
Any advice? Where to get this cable?
Thank you,
Alex

Iam using component cables with my home theater system and getting what I think is excellent sound quality.I am told however that I can expect a marked improvement in 5.1 surround sound with digital a optical cable. is this true and if I switch ,should I keep my component cables connected or get rid of them altogether?
