Hi, I am looking at buying the Onkyo 570 theater in a box system and the only thing holding me back is that it has only one coaxial digital input. Both my cable box and dvd player only have coaxial outputs. Is there any kind of switchbox that i can use before the reciever? Also can i just use an analog RCA switchbox instead, since it just uses a coaxial output?

I haven't tried that, but the theory seems sound.

I tried an av switch I found at walmart for this role. I was able to send level RCA audio L/R and composite video just fine but if I tried to use either audio RCA jack for the Coax digital audio on my DVD, I would not get any sound. I am assuming something in the switch circuitry messed up the spdif signal.
