DEF Tech BP2002TL's one length I need is 5ft and the other is 15ft. I hear this is important to sound quality and balance? SO I have to purchase 2 15ft cables??

No! it does not matter assuming the wire is 16 awg or larger. In order for a wire of this size or larger to present the amp/receiver a measurable diffrence in impedence the two lengths of wire would have to be hundreds, probably thousands of feet in difference of lengths to possibly cause any problem. Bear in mind that the average 16 awg wire would have to be thousands of feet long to have any measurable impedence greater than less than 1/1000 of 1 ohm! E. Ramsey AAS industrial electronics
