if by EQ, you mean one that mounts in the dash with sliders and all, I avoid those for the most part. They add coloration to the original source. If you want an EQ, go with a parametric EQ or a 1/3 octave EQ that mounts with the amps, and set it one with an RTA. If you want a head unit with EQ and crossover all built into the unit, look at the Alpine CDA-9815
