So as haphazard as this sounds, I am attempting to convert an old 300 watt(peak) pre-loaded sub into a home sub. I used an old xbox 360 power bank as my power source. From what i can tell i have a good power and ground connection. The problem I am facing is that this amp has always been picky in regards to REM. For some reason it seems like the REM will only function with 5 volts exactly. Connecting the REM to the 12 volt positive resulted in the amp briefly lighting up, but no luck. Is my only option to run a 12v to 5v regulator? Any advice on this issue is greatly appreciated. -thanks.
