Been a while since installing a car stereo. I carefully installed my kenwood amp under the passenger seat behind the two crossovers for the component speakers. The power cable runs from the battery to the amp and I installed a fuse a foot from the battery. The fuse appears to be in tact still. I grounded the amp below the glove box on the right after sanding off the paint and using a bolt with lock nut for a firm connection. Unfortunately i don't have a volt meter. My needle lights up red when touched to the amp where it connects to the power cable but the amp power light will not come on. The needle lights up blue (ground) when touched to the head unit power input on the amp. On a side note, all of the crossover speaker posts light up blue (ground) as well. Should any of them light up red?

Any help is appreciated.
