I have always gone with JL AUDIOamps, and subs. I've heard there are cheaper and better companies. What do you guys recommend. My last setup was a 12w7 jl 1001/v2 amp. Depending on space, consider 1 15 in about 4 cubes @ 30 Hz pointed into the cabin & blocked off from the rest of the trunk. Port into the cabin too. What are you driving now? Platinum Member Username: GlasswolfColumbia, South Carolina America Post Number: 14678 Registered: Dec-03 | If you want a nice SQ system, this is my recommendation: use a single 10" or 12" sub, sealed with about 600 watts RMS. use a good 2-way component set of separates in front, preferably in the kick panels with tweeter over or next to the midrange, and power that comp set with about 75-100 watts per channel Use amplifiers or a head unit that offer electronic crossovers to add a LPF for the sub, and HPF for the mids, and use a head unit that has time alignment and phase adjustment based on mic position, such as some of the higher end Pioneer or Alpine units. That's really all you need aside from a good charging system and power wiring. |
