John I thought you were after a 4th order.

And the re xxx 15 is recommended for 4 cubic feet and 33Hz tuning.

That monster sub needs a tough box.

I did a box for a RE XXX 15" recently, it meets Re Audio spec, take a look:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 33 Hz
Vb = 4.013 ft^3

External Height = 16.5 in
External Width = 35.75 in
External Depth = 20.5 in

Port Width = 4 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2 x Front & Back (3 parts) = 35 3/4 x 16 1/2

Left & Right Sides = 18 1/4 x 15

Top & Bottom = 35 3/4 x 18 1/4

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 14 1/4 x 15
Extension = 8 1/4 x 15

So port length is
15x4x26"long
Ill run it throught winisd and see how close it is to what i can fit

I can go out a bit more on box but i still want a box
I work your out to be close to 5.6cuft no port/sub
So my 4.3 is a bit shy

Any recomendations on port size for my odd shaped box

Unless i run port accross front and out front i cant go bigher then 14" high and 14" long width is no ploblem

It would like going in 4" and accross 20" and back again 8" and 15" high with the opening at front
An s shaped port

Ill draw it up when i finish work and show you

WinISD can do square ports but slot ports require end correction calculations in most cases.

The box I left you has 4 cubic feet of internal volume not 5.6.

Does that box you are planning on need to be that shape?

yes it does to fit behind back seat and under back parcel shelf,
if i go out any further i wont be able to access batteries and spare tyre as the factory battery is located in rear wheel arch well inside boot
