looking at putting 2 or 3x Focal 40V1 in my misses new ride, each in 2cuft ported @approx 35hz on the focal mono amp 1x300wrms ea
speakers will be in doors and either 2 sets of Focal 165KRX2, or 165KR2 running on the focal 4ch (4x100@2 or 4x75@4ohm)
Since this will be my biggest out lay on speakers ever im trying to get it right.
The shop im looking at getting them from, they told me if i get 2 sets of 165KR2 then 1 or 2x 40v1 but if i get 2 set of 165KRX2 then 2 or 3x 40v1 will be needed. Now i haven't herd the 165KRX2 ive only listened to the 130VRS and 165KR2
Im not sure if the 165KRX2 are worth the extra $300 a set? And since i like more bass then most and im use to kicker 15's will theise compete in the same volume range as the kicker 15's as im yet to here more then 1 together and on close to full power (shop had only 1 on 200wrms in a 1.5cuft ported box at 35hz) Also misses new car is Pontiac g8 wagon
