after 2 years of walking to work and such on base, bumming rides from friends, and saving money, the time has come for me to purchase a vehicle.. tomorrow!
thanks fellas. i'm already tearing things up for my install, lol. working around the stock harman kardon system is a pain in the @ss.. but that's another thread.
plan on doing some long distance riding, Marc? the LT seems to be more fit for doing so. nice bikes but not my style. i'm more of an s1000rr kind of guy
When it comes to bikes I'd still rather have a Honda.
Sorry. They're just better made. From experience.
I"ve owned 3 hondas and a Suzuki and never had a problem with them. We're talking 60,000 miles ridden too.
HD? I would love to own one myself. Sitting in front of my fireplace! Lol.
Seriously though I've always known HD as an unreliable, maintenance pron, expensive, heavy bike, that while may hold its' value over time, just baffles my mind as to why.
My father taught me to ride on a 1971 CB350 and he used to put a cig on the gas tank on edge, while revving to show me the bike's smoothness. The cig never shook or fell at all. THAT was 30 years ago.

Congrats man,you deserve it! You worked hard and did what you had to do to save up for a nice car like that. I hate it when little rich kids daddys buy them nice cars like this. Whats in store for the system?
big things are going to happen with this car as of now i'm wiring in my dsp. i have a nav unit but would rather keep the front stock, plus that involves some dash modification and more $. i'll be selling that soon probably.. will be posting a thread on the start of the install and equipment going in soon.
Ya..That Vrod is sooo badasss...That bike is soo fast it must have broken the time barrier, travled back to 2004 from 2008, Driven to the BMW design center, let them copy it, then drive back to the future to unvail it 4 years after the Montauk.....
btw, I dont recall any HD being displayed at the GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM....
And as far as bimmer bikes go, I will take the G650GS. Although I am more fond of a loud, mean harley sportster. My nexxt bike will most likely b a dual sport
