I need to wire 2 Kicker CVR 12"s to a a Kicker KX 800.2 Amp running 400 watts x 2 at 2 ohms.

I thought before you told me I could run 2 4 ohm DVC subs to create a 2 ohm load. Am I mistaken?

I just need to know so I can tell the seller that I need the 2 ohm ones before they are shipped out tomorrow. If those are what I need to get a 2 ohm load to my amp.

you want a pair of dual 4 ohm coil subs.

DVC, 4 ohms per coil

when each sub has it's coils wired together in parallel, you'll have a pair of 2 ohm subs.
one for each amp channel.

If you run dvc 4 ohm subs in parallel you will get a 1 ohm load. since thats a 2 channel amp shouldnt you run those subs in series and not parallel so that you get a 4 ohm load and then bridge the amp. Becuase that amp is stable at 4 ohms bridged and will put out 800 rms.

This is how you should do it.

You have two options:
1. You can wire the voice coils of the subs in parallel, then that will be a 2 ohm load, and you could put one sub on each channel of the amp.
OR
2. Bridge the amp, and Wire the voice coils of the subs in parallel, then wire the subs in series to the amp.

In option one, I meant each sub will be 2 ohms, by the way.

Jonez Listen to Glasswolf and Jonathan. They know what they are talking about just ignore others that post because most of the time they don't even know what their talking about. If I was you I would wire them the way Glass said so you will have a 2ohm load on each channel.
