Have a 1990 GMG pickup with an Eonon D1305 stereo/dvd player and it has a rca video out. I want to be able to watch movies on my Samsung 220wm monitor with vga in. What do I need to do this. I've searched the web and was told by some that it can't be done, I don't believe it. So I came here for the right answer. Hope it works.

You need something like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/RCA-Composite-S-Video-VGA-VGA-Monitor-DVD-PC-Switch-/190469541654
but the AC adapter that comes with it has to be changed to a DC to DC adapter so that your car can provide power to it.
Not wotrh it in my opinion you will loose signal quality and maybe you will experience image form factor issues if that cant be adjusted in either device. Inform yourself better before purchasing anything. Good luck.

Edit: if you want to power the monitor also you need a power inverter then you can plug the converter and the monitor to the inverter.

It makes no sense but can be done if you want.
