As of tomorrow ( Oct. 20,2010 ), I'm putting:
6 12" Hifonics HFD4s
1 Autotek AT-2000.1
Custom Ported Enclosure
... In my 1999 Nissan Sentra GXE ( 4-dr )

My question(s):
1) How do you think it will sound...
2) Do you think it's " overkill "....
3) Etc.....

I will be posting videos and pictures of the entire build & all items...
... I'm just lookin' for advice ( good & bad ), suggestions, etc...

THANK YOU!

not fond of Hifonics, never heard of Autotek, do you have the power to backup that 2k amp if it does put out rated power. what electrical upgrades do you have? have you done your big 3? got a high output alt? nice battery? 1/0 ga wiring?

yes you will have a FUCKTON of cone area but you may do better with 2 larger drivers on the same power. i would also suggest a sundown amp or a audioque amp. those subs probably wont sound that great even tho there cheep ans its easy to just add cone are. however i would love to see this build and what it puts up on a TL. do you have a front stage that will keep up with sub stage?

whats your final ohm load going to be?

i would like to see clamped power on that amp, my amp did ~2200 apparently when i when't to the last show, not bad for 2 ohms.

also hush rovin, only been in car audio for ~3-4 years now and only a year or so not failing at it.

Yes... Right now I have JVC HXs 6.5s Coaxials in the Front stage w/ 6 tweeters accompanying them. - Mid Stage: Interfire Slims 6.5s w/ 1 tweeter each side accompanying them. - Rear Stage: Kicker KX 6.5s.
.... When I figure out what highs amp I wanna use PERMENANTELY I'm gonna install my Component sets ( 5 sets - 1 in each doors - 1 in the rear dash ) Total of 16 speakers & 18 Tweeters )
... But musical wise: It's CRYSTAL clear with the interior speakers I have now on a " Death Wish 360 " ( Old School Amp for the record )...
... I will be posting Pictures and a couple Videos of EVERYTHING - The 6 12s, the Autotek 2000.1, and the enclosure build.

You might want to upgrade to 0/1. This way you can add more power to them sub's.

I don't.
too many things to go wrong, too many issues with things like soundstage, imaging, beaming, signal path lengths, cancellation, etc.
Keep it simple and you won't have nearly the issues with getting a good sound system.
I guarantee you I could set up a better sounding system with one 3-way component set in front, one pair of midbass drivers in back, and two subs, all running active.
simple, clean.
