hi guys i just bought some re xxx comps as i got a great deal on them, and i need some suggestions on a 2 channel amp.
i have a great amp now but i need to upgrade as i wont have enough power to focus on these speakers.
not sure how much power to run.. maybe 125? or should i go all the way up to 200 watts to each speaker?
i could always go with a sundown sax 125.2 but thats around 240 or so brand new. not wanting to spend quite that much, maybe 150 at the most, i have some big things coming up soon and need to save money up, and i can then upgrade in a few months, but cant go expensive at the moment.
any suggestions? how are soundstreams new 2 channel amps?
any comments appreciated
love my current amp but just wont work for these

Those are very rugged and high excursion 6 1/2's so you should definately have more power on hand for headroom. This amp would work very nicely at your budget:

i noticed that amp thats why i was asking about soundstream and their 2 channel amps if they are quality.
i want the best sound possible you know? but also have plenty of power for the speakers. i may end up getting something like that.
also what has me interested in this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem%26item%3D190412682795&ssPageName=S TRK:MEWAX:IT
and this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem%26item%3D290353269913&ssPageName=S TRK:MEWAX:IT
and possibly this
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem%26item%3D160407151480&ssPageName=S TRK:MEWAX:IT

what do you think out of all the choices? or anything else?
sorry not really interested in crunch
that sundown doesn't look to bad either but im probably looking around 170 or so after adding in shipping for a b-stock amp which isnt bad since its sundown, but i bet i could do better for the price. but it would be cool to have 2 sundown amps in my car

it seems the links didnt work
1st one was the diamond d6450.2 amp, 225x2 at 2 ohms for 100 shipped
second was an re audio amp 200x2 at 2 ohms could get for maybe 100 shipped brand new
third was a dls amp ca22 100x2 at 2 ohms, maybe 150 or so? depends on what seller would accept, much less power but more than likely high quality components and great sound quality

It's an american bass 4 channel amp. It's still up for sale, you can find it here http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/FS-American-Bass-SQ480-t41379.html I tried it to turn it into a link but my iPod wouldn't let mw paste it in the hyperlink for some reason. I was goin to buy it off him until I spotted the sax 100.2. He sent me a video of it in use and everything. it looks to be in great shape from the pics

im not really interested in that amp. not really sure of quality of american bass and not enough power lol. i would rather stick with something i know, you know? im thinking like ppi or that diamond d6 amp. whatever i find the best deal on. i want at least 200 watts per channel

I've read that ab is a solid company and that there amps are rated pretty modestly, meaning they're underrated. I believe Troy jones is running an ab amp on his wardens. I paid 173 shipped for my sax 100.2, it was 160 because it's in excellent condition plus shipping. It does 2x 200 rms at 2 ohms but sundown generally underates all of their products. The b stock ones are 150 +shipping. Don't have any experiance with the other amps u named so I can't speak on them

i have always wanted to run a pdx 1000.1 and that 150.2 i just may do so eventually, but for now i have my girls b-day coming up.. gonna be very expensive and im moving out so i will probably need a deposit, first and lasts months rent.
and i just bought an 18" xcon and a 15" dc lv 3 and some re xxx speakers, and some more morel tweets for my house.. and im looking for a huge amp for the house sub
so i really really need to not go too expensive for a few months, in the future i will probably upgrade the speakers and get something like dls or zapco to power them but for now trying to keep the cost around 100 for a 2 channel. you know what i mean? so something cheap but the best sq possible
it sucks being in college, never have any money and im in a city i can't stand and there's no jobs. i used to make 8 dollars more an hour when i was in high school! lol
now i have wayyy more knowledge and experience but make less money.. explain that to me

do you guys think this amp would work?
http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/memphisbelle16-st1300d.aspx
its the memphis belle 5 channel amp.
could i just bridge the front channels together for the left speaker and bridge the back 2 channels for the right speaker? that way i get more power to the speakers, and then i could just use the sub channel at 2 ohms for my sub.
seems to be a high quality rare amp
