Hi! I wanna buy a powerfull speaker I wonder Re Audio XXX 12' + Hifonics Colossus and wire it on 4 OHM. My target is low bass, big impact and possibly loud & good quality I listen rap, hip-hop and R&B. It's good choice? Maybe JL 12w7 or 13w7 are better?
An Re XXX and w7 would both do well in low end. Of course the Re will hold double the power. The Re would be easier to find an amp for too. The w7s will need a 3 ohm load. For that price range you could also check out SSA Xcon and a Fi Q. Get as large diameter woofer as you can if you want the best lows you can get. If you had room for a single 18 Fi Q, that would be the way to go.
