Alright Due to some upgrading to my audio system it will be time to find an alternator with a much higher output. I know they sell some HO alternators that put out 160-200 amps for my vehicle(1998 Acura Integra). It is hard to get an Ho alternator into my car because the mounting area is very tight. However after looking where my ac mounts i got myself thinking(a lot easier to get at). I really think i can take out my ac and fab up a bracket so i can fit a real HO alt in.

Has anyone done or thought of doing this before. I mean maybe you can get a completely different alternator solemnly for your stereo.

Let me know what you all think.

A lot of people do this on different vehicles. I would see what sort of direct bolt in replacement is available, and depending on your charging needs you may be better off adding an extra factory alternator and running dual stock alts.
