okay for an SPL setup, i've heard lining the inside of the box with drywall can increase your scores.
True or False?

and yes, i know my post was totally off topic, but i've never heard of phenolic board.

I do not know anything about that type of wood but the benefits of mdf or any wood used in audio applications is that it is acoustically dead(decreases chances for standing waves inside the box) since that would could be used a laminant this would lead me to believe it would not be that great for acoustic applications.
But I could be wrong.

MDF and resin would be your best bet.

What should be important to you is becoming more knowledgable in the car audio world, as well as less financially retarded. You're an idiot that wastes money on materials when you're lacking in design and skill, despite the mountain of help that has been provided to you via this forum.

u do know that i won nationals this season?
i thought i did good with what i had and being my first year doing this. i beat out many people in my glass that had been doing this for years.
i know for a fact that mdf is not the best. all the different junk i use doesn't always make a difference. but if its lighter and the same y not use it? or if i can get something cheaper that is just as strong that is what ill do. now that i used advantech i saw an other person use it this season also.

my design was not perfect (no ones is), but some advice i was told made things MUCH worse. but again some things also helped.

if any one will say that i have a bad design on building my box means nothing. some things that helps get louder makes no sense, i just try to gain a few tenths when i have time.

for nationals i had it tuned to 36Hz and found something on my port that i could gain much more spl out of if i had more time,

dont hate me jsut because i want to try something new, if ya think its a good idea good. if u think its not tell me y not, i know that i don't know all

nice. i so wish i had an extended cab... but whatever, i got the bucket seats in so now i can think about building a box.
I was thinking about deadening the back of the cab so it doesn't flex as much, but idk. Its just gunna be a daily driver, so i pretty much just want to cut down some of the ratteling.

Seriously, all that work, money wasted, and a crappy wall, the best you could do is a 155.4?

I wonder what your "competitors" scored.... :-(
